This is probably my favorite Project Tu song so far - especially the way it blends together so many elements from pop to prog to punk so naturally. I feel like this song has raised the bar for myself as a song writer.
This song was also hugely challenging for all of us. The odd time signature in the verse plus the signature changes made it very difficult to make this song flow perfectly because the slightest timing error could lead to everything screwing up.
There were also originally more lyrics where Joe's solo comes in as a sort of bridge, but I loved his solo so much that I decided to nix that idea. Speaking of solos, this is the first song my friend Ted soloed on. He and I are of the opinion that this might be the best solo he's ever recorded.

lyrics
I once saw in myself a wolf
But I was dressed in sheep's clothing
It's about time I have a style change
All the while we're slowly decomposing
I have an itch where I can't get out all the bad blood
The face I show for my own good isn't the same as the one I show to the world
I am damaged, but I am still here
It's always on nights just like this
I get a feeling of condemnation
Among the big storms and lightning bolts
A light flickers with revelation
I have an itch where I can't get out all the bad blood
The face I show for my own good isn't the same as the one I show to the world
I am damaged, but I am still here
