This is really the only "rock" track on the EP so I like how even that incorporated the string element. It was Lanna's idea to add the Wilhelm scream into the track. I was going to do screaming vocals on this track originally, but I came down with a pretty bad sore throat and lost my voice. Even so, I really enjoy Joe's vocals and his rap breakdown.
Originally, Joe thought this song was anti-religious, but while it uses cult imagery, it actually doesn't have to do with organized religion at all, but I'll leave that up to interpretation ;)

lyrics
I won't drink your kool aid
Don't wanna be saved
You're pulling me down
But you're worth the weight
And I will never learn
I was hit by a car when I took a wrong turn
I was walking down a dead end
I know the rhetoric
But don't believe in it
You can wear your own crown
Call me a lightweight
I gamble I get screwed
I'm on the guillotine but I did it for you
I was walking down a dead end
Why are we
All wearing these stripes?
Are we just inmates
In a prison we call life?
Magic mirror, get things clearer
Name your claim to fame, I'm game
As you talk about how you're white and pure
Glossy black can't scratch the surface
Chase the dream, it's the latest rage
As the magic news from your head mage
I'll work the beat and go true blue
But all the while I'm watching you
Cuz you tore the apple off the tree
And polished it to a glossy scream
And as the lemmings pacify
Your sleight of hand has caught my eye
Your touch was rough, your screen was late
Your pad to play, I spilled your kool aid
